Daniels Chess Club

The Daniels Chess club is open to any student with an interest in playing or learning to play chess.   While the majority of students simply want a place to come and play chess with a friend, the club offers opportunities for the serious study of the game.   Members are encouraged to improve their ability by reading amongst the library of chess books made available, as well as to record their own games with the universally recognized algebraic notation for recording chess games.   The degree of involvement with studying various openings and tactical exercises is strictly up to the individual student.   Participants are not expected to attend every meeting of the club, and any student with an interest in the game is encouraged to attend.

The Daniels Chess Club will have it's first meeting on Tuesday, September 15th in Mr. Hudson's room (Room 3110).  Anyone interested in playing chess or learning how to play chess is welcome to attend.  Students attending must have a signed note from their parents and transportation home.

The Chess Club will meet on Tuesdays after school until 3:30 unless otherwise announced.
