The Battle of the Books has made some major changes in the 2005-2006 school year. Wake County has chosen to have all the students who are interested in competing in the Battle of the Books, read the books that are on the state Battle of the Books list. This list can be found at any public library or just ask one of the media specialists or assistant in the media center.

There will only be one team representing Daniels Middle School this year which will be made up of twelve students from grades 6- . The students will be given more information concerning this later in the fall.

The Battle of the Books is sponsored by the Academically Gifted Program.
