Jazz/Pep Band - Extracurricular

7^th and 8^th grade band students are offered the opportunity to perform different kinds of music in the after school jazz/pep band.  Participation in this group is open to all 7^th and 8^th grade band students enrolled in band class.  During the fall, emphasis is placed on learning pep tunes to help promote team spirit throughout Daniels Middle School .  In the last half of the year, we switch gears and play more jazz inspired music with traditional jazz instrumentation.  Auditions, consistent attendance, and a commitment to more challenging music are requirements of jazz band in the second half of the year.

Jazz/pep band meets once a week after school throughout the entire school year.  It’s fun, hip, and cool to play the after school tunes at Daniels Middle School.
